About Me

Hi! I’m Camila Burry. I’m from La Plata, Argentina, and I started playing piano when I was 8 years old. Music has been a big part of my life ever since. From age 12 to 19, I studied a Fine Arts Baccalaureate program where I specialized in piano, which gave me a solid foundation in classical music and performance.

When I turned 18, I started studying oboe and music composition at the National University of La Plata. During that time, I continued developing my piano skills and performed regularly in chamber music ensembles. During this time, I had the chance to play oboe in orchestras like the Camerata Académica del Teatro Argentino and the Orquesta Académica de Buenos Aires.

In 2018, I moved to Milan, Italy, to continue my music studies. I got my Master’s Degree in Oboe at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory, where I studied with Diego Dini Ciacci. I also obtained my teaching qualification there. I later continued my training with a specialization course led by Christian Schmitt at the Accademia Perosi in Biella.

While living in Italy, I played with the Civica Orchestra di Fiati di Milano and the PianoLink Symphonic Orchestra. And I started giving private lessons. These years helped me grow a lot both as a musician and a teacher.

Since 2022, I’ve been living in the Netherlands, where I work as a piano and oboe teacher. I also stay active as a professional oboist and have performed with groups such as the NASKA Orchestra, the Royal Military Band "Johan Willem Friso," and the Somer Chamber Orchestra.

In my free time I like to read, draw and play sports. I love to travel, get to know new places and cultures and learn languages!
